While camping this summer, I was experimenting with some interesting grilled food. For instance, you can read about my experience with grilled eggplants. As I thought about my vacation, I also thought about the time when I tried grilled squash.

I did it the easiest way possible. I peeled it, and covered it with barbeque sauce. Just some sauce I bought at the local grocery store. The only thing I really remember about the sauce, is that it had garlic. Because my familiy told me this every hour or so after we had eaten. Not sure, but I might have used a little too much of this barbeque sauce.

It was really easy to make, just peel and add some sauce, and put them on the barbeque for a few minutes. That’s all really.

When they were finished, I ate them like a hamburger. I had hamburger buns and sallad on the side. It tasted fairly good, even though I used too much of the barbeque oil.

Grilled squash is a very healthy alternative, not sure about the sauce though, but if you consider the squash itself, it only has about 82 calories (serving size is 205 g), very little fat, good vitamin source, but unfortunately not much protein either, only 2 g per serving.
